Summer Fun at Gingham Pre School

‘The children at Gingham Pre-School have been having a very busy time! During the Summer the children have been spending time at Bunting Pre-School, exploring the forest school area as well as the variety of resources indoors too. The children even noticed a pigeon on a nest in forest school! The children have investigated the wide variety of natural resources, collecting sticks and twigs, comparing size and making their own nests. The children have enjoyed digging and looking for bugs and have shown keen interest in the play insects, observing and discussing their features.

The children had a trip to the library in Stratford, where they enjoyed looking at and listening to a variety of stories. The children enjoyed choosing some books and putting them through the special machine to take back to pre-school to support their interests in setting. On the way back to pre-school the children had a visit to the shop, all choosing a little treat to take home.

Alikazam the Magician came to Gingham in August. The children absolutely loved the show. Some children joined Alikazam to help with some of his very funny tricks!! Afterwards the children enjoyed an ice cream as well as a party tea with their families. A lovely afternoon was had by all. Thank you to all the parents and families that came along’
