Swimming with Gingham Pre School
We had lots of fun at our swimming lesson yesterday!
It was a very special lesson for Scarlett who achieved her 10 metre swimming badge and for Aaron who achieved his 5 metre swimming badge. To gain their badges, they had to swim on their front, kick their legs, blow bubbles and pull with their arms – all without stopping!!
Well done Scarlett and Aaron!!

Getting Crafty at Gingham Pre School
“Today at Gingham Pre School we have been learning about the Queen on her special day (Longest Reign). We have listened to and discussed stories about the Queen and creatively made our own crowns – making them very sparkly and pretty! We have also enjoyed dressing up in Princess and Knight costumes.” Lucy Stanley – Pre School Manager
Gingham’s New Construction Room
“We have developed the room following the children’s interests surrounding building and balancing on large and small scales. The room has been transformed into a construction room, allowing the children to explore all areas of the curriculum. The children have used everyday objects and recycled materials to construct ‘mud slides’ and ‘houses’ as well as tool boxes, tape, bricks, dressing up and sensory experiences to explore and investigate whilst widening their imaginative skills. The children have used their language skills to work together and give ideas to make predictions about their models and creations.” Lucy Stanley – Pre School Manager
There will be more photos coming soon….
All Around The World – Parent Join in
“We had a lovely time exploring the world during our parent and family afternoon. We explored Chinese cuisine by tasting Chinese wontons and prawn crackers. We talked about India and tried Samosas, poppadoms and onion bhaji’s – they were yummy! We also made our own pizza’s using a selection of ingredients to focus on Italy.
Sophie taught the children all about French colours and facial features to create monster faces and read us the story ‘Va-t’en Grand Monstre Vert’.
Grace showed the children how to create “Indigenous Australian Dot Pictures”, looking at colour representation. White for clouds, yellow for sun, blue for sea and green for trees. We also got creative with noodle painting!” –  Lucy Stanley – Nursery Manager
